To celebrate our birthday, we\u2019ve launched <a href=\"https:\/\/ecosia.teemill.com\/collection\/birthday-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two limited-edition t-shirts<\/a>. A decade of Ecosia means 76 million trees in the ground. And we\u2019re just getting started!<\/p><p>Ten years ago, Ecosia was just an idea. Our founder Christian envisioned a search engine that plants trees during a backpacking trip around Nepal, where he witnessed deforestation and related poverty first-hand.<\/p><p>Since then Ecosia has grown into a powerful climate movement with 16 million monthly users, who have planted 76 million trees globally.
